Visit
Castelbuono, one of the 15 small towns
of the Parco delle Madonie. Castelbuono
is 423 metres above sea level , in a
valley at the foot of the Madonie
mountains, just over 14 km from the sea,
10 km from the mountain, 20 km from
Cefalù and 100 from Palermo. Its name
derives from the castle which count
Francesco Ventimiglia started to built
in 1316 (Castrum bonum – good castle).
Excellent position for walking, touring
and riding in the vicinity.
